My first designer bag was the Gucci Guccisima Joy Boston bag in Off White. I immediately fell in love with it but realized that the soft leather didn't hold shape at all. It's to be expected that it would sag but it didn't occur to me at time of purchase so now I am cautious about what I put in there so not to ruin it. I feel like it is really delicate. If I got the other material then it would have been better but I wasn't too fond of the colors at that time.I recently bought a Speedy but the new one with the strap. I am very happy with my purchase and really satisfied since the LV Mono Speedy bag is a classic.I am happy with both bags/labels. Like many of the members in TPF mentioned I would go to both stores, try them on and see which one feels right. For someone I didn't know well, I would say something like "oh, this particular bag I actually bought from someone else, and even though I'm knowledgeable on LV's I still had it expertly authenticated, I got a nice deal on it." Why give someone anywhere to attack back at you, ya know? Ha ha. For people I know well or family, the truth works just fine for me! :) They know me well enough to know I would not buy anything I didn't know for sure was authentic. I've never had anyone close to me, question it. Kind of a petty thing for someone to do. I'm not sure how I'd react if someone in my family or a friend belittled my knowledge that way.
